TDF2019 Closed

The 2nd Tokyo International Deaf Film Festival, which was held from Friday, May 31, 2019 to Monday, June 3, and on Wednesday,June 5, is officially closed.

We were able to welcome about as many as 2,000 people. Looking at all these people, I was full of joy. As a host, I couldn’t be happier about it.

This is all thanks to the many people who helped, such as operation staffs, sponsors, organizations of subsidy, supporters, volunteer staffs, subtitle translators, Japanese sign interpreters, ASL interpreters, IS interpreters, foreign language interpreters, UD talk operators, master of ceremony, invited talk guests, and last but definitely not least, all the audience who came to the festival and livened it up.

“It all happens when we gaze into each other.”

I truly hope that this festival could be the place for everyone to feel some kind of chemistry. Also, it would be my greatest pleasure if each one of you who came could have a moment to think about any possibilities that could happen in the world through this film festival.

I hope to see you all again in 2 years!
